Chasing a fox out

Ratstar had returned from his walk. He leaped up onto the long branch and called a clan meeting. "Let all those old enough to catch their own prey join me beneath the Long Branch!" he yowled.

Lichenfall quietly crept over to the side of the clearing, looking up at Ratstar, her mother's successor.

Darksun and Snakebranch appeared from behind. Wondering what Ratstar needed. Then Runningleaf came with a loud yawn.

Stormshadow along with Shadowflight made their way to towards the Long Branch.
"Wonder what's happening," Stormshadow meowed curiously.
"Well, just listen to Ratstar and you'll know," Shadowflight responded.

"We have a fox on our territory. I'll be making two patrols. Once you find the fox chase it out." Ratstar meowed. "Chase it to Meadowclan territory!" Darksun laughed. Snakebranch nodded with agreement. Ratstar ignored the tom's yowl and continued. "If you find it's den bury it, if you find it's cubs the chase them out as well." he said. "Runningleaf is leading with Snakebranch, Darksun and Goldensight to search on the south end of our territory. I'll be leading Shadowflight, Stormshadow and Lichenfall on the north side." Ratstar meowed. He leaped down and padded to the north side of the camp.

((Darksun, Snakebranch, Goldensight and Runningleaf are made up character that nobody owns. Im roleplaying Darksun and Snakeleaf.))

"This will be interesting," Stormshadow purred. "I've never fought a fox before."
"This'll be the first time for me to fight after sustaining this injury," Shadowflight half mumbled to himself as he shifted his left back leg. "I hope I can still fight."
"You're kidding right? Since you were made into a warrior, obviously you can fight," Stormshadow declared. "You shouldn't doubt yourself like that."
"Mmmhh..." Shadowflight hummed softly, already planning on some battle tactics.

Ratstar looked at the two toms silently. Then gave them a nod. He then looked at Lichenfall, he knew he was going to have to keep a close eye on her since she could be a bit jumpy.

"ALRIGHT LET'S GO!" Stormshadow yowled and eagerly leaped to his paws, he could hardly wait to fight against the fox.
Shadowflight let out a soft sigh, how could he be best friends with someone so impatient and childish?

Lichenfall jumped. I-I'm fighting a fox!? she thought, starting to shiver.

Ratstar watched as Runningleaf and her patrol left.

Shadowflight calmly watched the first patrol leave, while Stormshadow was practically ready to burst just from anticipation. "Stop acting like a kit," Shadowflight patronized. "We're warriors now, so you should start acting like one."
"But this will be the first time I fought a fox," Stormshadow complained. "I can hardly wait."
Shadowflight only shock his head and turned his attention towards Lichenfall, she looked completely terrified. "You okay?" he asked.

"I-I-I-I th-think s-so." she stuttered, shivering in utter fear.

"Lichenfall, don't worry. I won't let the fox hurt you." Ratstar murmured.

"We'll protect you," Shadowflight added kindly.
"Yep, we've got your back!" Stormshadow chimed in.

Shadowflight glanced over at Stormshadow. "Don't just rudely enter a conversation."
"I wanted to say something cool too," Stormshadow shrugged playfully.

Lichenfall smiled nervously. "Th-Thanks." she mewed.

"That's what Clan mates are for," Shadowflight meowed.
"Yep!" Stormshadow agreed.

She smiled again nervously.

(I see...)

"Anyways, are we going to chase down that fox now?" Stormshadow asked eagerly, his claws starting to work excitedly on the ground.
"Maybe you should work on your patience a little," Shadowflight suggested lightly to his best friend. "Anyways, Lichenfall, there's no need to be afraid."

((Actually it COULD... Ratstar is very sweet and calm, and she's jumpy. He could calm her down.))

Ratstar looked forward. He didn't mind waiting a bit. He then looked at his warriors. "We should split once we get to Cliffclan border." he meowed.

"Alright," Shadowflight agreed.

Ratstar and his patrol left camp.

Stormshadow eagerly followed his leader, chattering excitedly with Shadowflight.
