Shall we continue?

Goldenstripe looked at the tiny fresh-kill pile. "Cragjumper, can you and Russetdawn go hunting? The fresh-kill pile seems a little low."
Cragjumper let out a snort of annoyance, but didn't snap at him. "Sure thing, Goldenstripe," he meowed and padded to Russetdawn. "Ready to go?"

Russetdawn glared darkly at Goldenstripe, wishing she had been left to hunting alone before nodding softly. "Fine..." She glanced over at Cragjumper and let out a dark sigh. 'Let's get this over with so I can enjoy some alone time' she thought coldly to herself.

(HE'S deputy. LOL I just did that to annoy you. X3)

Cragjumper shrugged and led her out of camp.

Russetdawn slowly followed Cragjumper, her tail twitching crossly. 'Of all cats, why me?' she wondered.

(Never mind. XP)

"Scent anything yet?" Cragjumper asked as he scented the air.

"No," I meowed curtly, scenting the air slightly. The only scent I could smell was the sharp, crisp leaf bare air.

Cragjumper scented the air again and spotted a squirrel not far.

While Cragjumper was looking at the squirrel Russetdawn's eyes wondered towards a small bush, the scent of mouse faintly on it. She sniffed at it curiously, the scent was fresh. The mouse probably wasn't too far from here. 'Maybe if we both caught something, we'll return to camp.' With that nice thought in mind, Russetdawn slowly followed the trail.

Cragjumper turned to Russetdawn, but she had disappeared. Her scent was not far, so he shrugged and stalked the squirrel. When he was a tail-length away, he leapt and killed it in a swift bite, but he accidently rustled some bushes next to him.

Russetdawn glanced up from her intent stalking of the scent trail when she heard some brush rustling nearby. She tensed and sniffed the air, she could smell Cragjumper and... something else.

(DUN DUNN DUNN NNNNNN!)

Cragjumper buried his squirrel and went to find Russetdawn, but he scented something else...

(The suspense)

Russetdawn couldn't quite put her paw on it, she had scented it before when she had been a rogue but she couldn't... BADGER! Her fur fluffed out nervously and tried to figure out where the scent was coming from. She should have noticed this earlier, the clearing was filled with its scent.

Badger! Cragjumper thoguht and he searched wildly for Russetdawn. He soon found her and meowed, "Where is it?" he asked.

Russetdawn gave no response as she continued to sniff the air, the strong scent was everywhere, that could only mean that the badger could be anywhere. Russetdawn's eyes widened when she saw a black blotch moving maybe a couple of fox lengths away. "Its there," she whispered and pointed with her tail towards the blotch.

Cragjumper saw the blotch and bore his teeth and his dark ginger tabby fur fluffed up. "We can take it!" he hissed.

(I'm going to be changing Russetdawn's point of view to first person, it'll be easier for me.)

I rolled my eyes, a badger was a feroucious beast that could only be taken down with tactic and strength. Two lone warriors wouldn't be able to do much about it. "If you want to die, than fine, we'll fight," if we were to fight we probably would both end up dead, although if I died I would be able to join Hawktalon in StarClan...

"well, do you want to?" he asked.

(HAVE TO GO)

"I'll fight," I yawned, my eagerness to meet with Hawktalon growing by the second.

"Alright." Flamepaw sighed, she then walked away from the cats.

Cragjumper looked at Russetdawn in shock. "Why are you yawning?! Aren't you excited at all? Or...are you scared about losing?"

Goldenstripe padded out of camp, deciding to take a walk.

Silverstar walked around camp.

Pebblepaw came back into camp from collecting burrdock root.

Firefoot walked up to Pebblpaw, "Great job Pebblpaw! We could rally use those our herb store is a bit low." Firefoot said.
